The expansion of the Congregation has been constant despite the hardships, the sacrifices demanded and the little financial means of the pioneers of the community. Since September 1881, religious went to the Gaspe Coast, more precisely to Saint-Godefroi and Port-Daniel. From 1883 to 1889, the sisters accepted five new foundations: Saint-Anaclet, Sainte-Luce, Mont-Joli, Chéticamp and Baie-des-Sables. On August 19, 1899, the Canadian border was crossed for the first time when three sisters opened a parochial school in Frenchville, Maine, in the United States. Progressively, almost two hundred localities welcomed the Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. They kept alive in their hearts the love of children and concern for their intergral education following the example of Elisabeth Turgeon.

The great events of the Church such as the Holy Year of 1950 and Vatican Council II opened new horizons. The Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary responded to the call "out there". Many coastal missions were opened on the Lower North Shore, in Newfoundland and Labrador. In 1968, a novitiate was opened in Maine.

The missionary expansion knew other heights. Working with the Diocesan Churches, the sisters answered the call and the needs of the poor. In Haiti (1970), the Dominican Republic (1974), Africa, (1970 - 1993). Missions were opened in Latin America, Honduras (1964), Peru (1981) and Guatemala (1994).
