NICARAGUA

The Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary arrived in Nicaragua, September 13, 2006. They were the first three Hondurian missionaries in this land of Nicaragua.

The Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, in the region of Capulin, has a population of 40,000 inhabitants. On the occasion of the celebration of a special mass at this parish church, the bishop of the diocese welcomed the new missionaries. This milieu is already pastorally weil organized. The Sisters are involved in catechesis, Christian communities, pastoral youth work, parish retreats, and formation of pastoral agents. Their presence brings enthusiasm and joy, tenderness and solicitude. This give-and-take is reciprocal, since the Sisters are receiving a lot from the people; they also benefit spiritually in their great devotion to the Virgin Mary.
