CHRISTMAS: A STAR 

So the world would be a better place, Lord
I would like to light up stars in the night.

One star which gives a little light
in the hearts of those
who go unnoticed.

One star that listens and gives a bit of heat
in the hearts of those
for whom no one has time to give.

One star that speaks and brings a little joy
with words of
encouragement, gratitude and kindness.

One star of service that offers sharing
with open and extended hands
that know work, that bring union.

One star filled with sweet odors that captures life to the fullest,
as it admires and feels
the marvels that surround us.

Lord, I would like to light just a few little stars
that would lead the world to you.
