REFLECTIONS FOR ADVENT
2012-12-01

verslalumiere.jpegSlowly, since the end of November, the lights in our homes, businesses, church steeples and our streets all tell us of the importance of light in our lives. Our simple everyday lives, filled with aimless walking, errands, sometimes brief encounters... and at the end of the day: calm and rest. But, sometimes despite everything, fears surface and agitate the calm waters of our soul.

We question how we can dispel these fears, doubts and sorrows... towards whom, towards what light can we approach so that peace returns and dissipates our fears; so we can build a better world for all: for us, our brothers, sisters, children, friends, neighbors, strangers, those indifferent to us, those who bother us, those who do not think as we do, who disturb, question, deny, destroy, create void and then disappear...

"The entire road of life,
Is to pass from fear to love." (Frédéric Lenoir)

May each, in her/his life find a passage from fear towards love..., because love will
enable us to build a better world.

Jacques Ferland

A precious time of Advent for each and onwards towards the Light!
